Meet our Founder: Mike

In 2016, a question over dinner in Italy sparked Mike's search for an answer: would Canadians care about real olive oil? What started at market tables while he was still serving in the military led to placements in Ottawa's top restaurants, including Riviera, e18hteen, and North & Navy. In 2018, Mike opened Aurelius' first tasting boutique in Wellington West — built around teaching customers how to properly taste olive oil, not just sell it to them. By 2025, that approach had grown to three locations across Ottawa.
